Hand
colored engravings and lithographs from Curtis Botanical Magazine. We
went through 4000 prints to find the best of the best and have them here
for your convenience. All prints are original antique engravings and
lithographs that were hand colored at the time of publication. This set
was published from the 1790's to the 1880's and as the printing process
evolved from engravings to lithography in that time period and you will
see a bit of both. William Curtis is one of the most well known
botanical illustrators of all time. The images come from monthly
magazines that would have a couple prints in them. After collecting the
magazines for awhile they would be bound into books.
